downhill in my opinion. I am probably going to get flamed for this but.....oh well. This site is turning into a porn site. I know I have seen other artists say this but I feel like I have to get my 2 cents in. Between the pictures that are claimed to be "Artistic Nude", people's feet and the cleavage selfie shots it is getting a little ridiculous. Don't get me wrong I am a guy and I like to look at some "T&A" but enough is enough. I come here to look at art. I even have my Mature Feature set to 'Hidden' so I don't have to see that stuff but it is still making its way in.* DISCLAIMER * Let me be clear, I am by no means talking about cosplay, actual models who hire photographers, use actual locations to shoot their pictures and make their own outfits. * I know stuff like that takes a lot of $$ and time so I do applaud you. * What gets me is I see a whole bunch of artists who work hours, countless hours on their masterpieces for it all to get shown up by a chick who takes selfies with her tits out. The moderators need to filter this SPAM out. I am starting to lose interest in this site. I am contemplating the fact that I might not renew my premium membership in a few months. It is also getting to the point that I am not putting my work up. I have been doing stuff but I am not putting it up here because it will get no views and I feel like it goes to waste.  I am not saying my art needs to get views and it's 'all that' but I just feel like....well....it is just going to sit there. I didn't mean to rant but that's how I feel. If you agree with me great, if you don't, then don't.

Take care and thanks for reading.

I am going to make this short and to the point. I lost 20 years in my life by not drawing. When I was growing up all I did was read comics and draw, hoping one day I was going to work at Marvel, LOL. As they say better late than never. I have been on dA for 8 years. Out of those 8 years I have been really active in the dA communtiy for 1.5 years. The amount of incredible and talented artists here in dA community is ridiculous!! To all you young artists out there I only have a few words for you.....Don't ever stop drawing and keep your imagination sharp. Art is a wonderful thing and it brings out the best in all of us! Well, thats all I have to say. Thanks for reading this and coming by. Take care!!

Here are some of my works.

OK, so here is the final weight loss count after the 30 day diet plan. I lost a total of 23 pounds. I am very proud of myself for doing this and actually sticking with it for that long. I feel good and I fit into my clothes a lot better, LOL. Now the problem is keeping the weight off. I am from Italian descent so all we do is eat. This is going to be a challenge to use portion control but I know I can stick with it. The other thing I am sticking with and doing every day is drawing. I am drawing a few hours each day. Some days I am practicing and other days I am starting new pieces. The key thing is I am picking up a pencil and making the most of it. I am proud of the progress I am making. So I want to keep it going. The media I have been using more often is my Prismacolor Premier pencils. I am enjoying how these pencils work and the potential of these things are endless. Being an amateur myself I am learning new stuff with them all the time. I like the way they blend and how soft the pencils are. So hopefully I get better.

This weekend I am going to a place called the Hobby Lobby and it is not too far from my house. I am looking to pick up the Prismacolor Verithin and Watercolor pencil tins. I have two 40% off coupons. I will be going to one register with one set and my wife is going to another register with the other set as you are only allowed one coupon per customer, LOL. Here is where my feedback from you guys on dA comes into play. I am also looking into purchasing the Derwent Watercolor and Colorsoft pencil sets. My question is, Which one is better? Which one blends better? Which one is better quality? Which one is better to use as I am a newbie to them? Any input would be appreciated. Thank you if you do.

Last but not least are some of my shoutouts that I like to do here on dA. All of these artists do some great work and every single one of them has a unique style to their art. So here they are in no particular order.

Whats up people. Just wanna say a few things won't take too long. This year is being good to me so far. First and foremost I am finally eating right and dieting. Today I am one week into my diet and I have lost 10lbs. I am extremely proud of myself for actually going through with it. I never thought I would do this. My wife and kids are beyond ecstatic for me. I feel great and I have more energy. I am using two methods of dieting. One is called Isagenix and I gotta say I was skeptical at first but after a week on it I am reformed. The other thing I am doing is P90x. That is some serious workouts on those DVDs. The guy on that just doesn't stop. The bottom line is I feel good and I am starting to lose the weight I need. I have another 20days left on the Isagenix diet. It is a 30 day program, so we will see how it goes. If I lose a total of 28-30lbs on this I will be at/near my goal. Wish me luck.
The other thing I am doing is drawing a lot more, at least 1-2 drawings a week. That is a major improvement from last year. My goal this year is to do 1-2 drawings a week in the beginning of the year and slowly increase a drawing per week. When the end of the year rolls around I would like to do 5-6 drawings per week. The question is and always will be, do I have the time. My kids are in a lot of after school things so it is hard to sit for a few straight hours and draw. I have been doing an hour here and there. My family is obviously a lot more important but when I get a break and draw it is some down time for me to just take a breather and continue the days activities. The thing I am really happy about is we are 20 days in the new year and I have gained another 10-11 watchers here on dA. All of the my new watchers out there, THANKS and I APPRECIATE the WATCH! It gives me confidence when I sit down and begin to draw something. Hopefully my art gets better as the year goes on.
Well that's all I have to say for now. Thanks for reading and stopping by. Have a good one.

Thanks,
  Joe
